Kamal Qaqish age 83 of Sayreville passed away Friday February 5, 2016 at Saint Mary’s Hospital, Passaic. Born in Salt, Jordan he resided in Union City before moving to Sayreville in 1998. Before his retirement he was the owner of Amman Liquors in Clifton for 10 years. Mr. Qaqish was a communication officer in the Jordan Army serving in the 1950’s and was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville.

He is predeceased by his parents Issa & Shala Qaqish and his brother Emil Qaqish. Surviving are his wife Laila Qaqish, his children and their spouses. Randy & Hanan Kakish of Sayreville, Mary & Thomas Holder of Union, Huda & Sean Rajan of Franklin Lakes, Eva & Dan Ladner of Franklin Lakes, Rania & Hassan Selim of Jersey City, and his brother Jalal Qaqish of Florida. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin followed by a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm.
