Hezekiah Uzoegbo Olewunne, age 72, of South Amboy passed away peacefully on Monday September 19, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care Center in Matawan surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Born in Nigeria he had resided in the Parlin section of Sayreville for 15 years before moving to South Amboy. Hezekiah received his Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from Benedict College in South Carolina as well as his Masters Degree in Banking & Finance from Temple University. Before his retirement 16 years ago, he used those degrees to propel him to an Executive Director position with Progress Bank in Nigeria. Mr. Olewunne was a member of the Masters of Business Administration Association as well as a communicant of Christ Church in South Amboy.

He is predeceased by his parents Isaiah & Eunice (Duru) Olewunne, and his brother-in-laws Sam Alaneme & Harrison Ubachunwa. Hezekiah is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Margie (Dixon) Olewunne of South Amboy; his son Okwui and his wife Angela of Keyport, sons Chinedu, Uche, and daughter Adaku of South Amboy; his siblings Frederick and wife Nnenna, Paulina, Comfort && her husband Michael, and Christiana all of Nigeria; and his 3 loving grandchildren Nnenna, Nnamdi, & Austin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8 at 4pm from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with burial to follow at a later date in Okwelle, Nigeria.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Saturday, October 8 from 2pm to 5pm.

Once services have concluded, Hezekiah's family has invited all who attend to a repast luncheon being held at Christ Church, 257 4th Street South Amboy, NJ 08879. Letters of condolence, directions and completed arrangements may be found at www.spezzifuneralhome.com.
