Obituary for Clara Targonski (Roj)
Sayreville
Clara Targonski, age 89, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 25, 2017 at the Venetian Health Care, South Amboy. Born in South River to the late John & Julia Roj she has resided in Sayreville since 1962. Before her retirement in 1990 she was employed by the Middlesex County Probation Department in New Brunswick for 9 years as supervisor of their clerical department. Mrs. Targonski was a communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville, D.A.V. Ladies Auxiliary in South Amboy and Sayreville St. Stan’s Seniors Club.
She is predeceased by her husband Chester in 1990 and her brothers Alfred, Robert, Louis and Henry Roj. Surviving are her children Fr. George Targonski, Joan Orlopp, Jean Lewis and Roberta Targonski as well as 3 grandchildren Robert, Michael and Julia and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday 10:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by an 11am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. Letters of condolence, direction and completed funeral arrangements can be found at www.maliszewskimemorialhome.com.
