Obituary for William "Willie" Demydenko Jr.

South River
William “Willie” Demydenko Jr., age 26, of South River, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 27, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with his loving family at his side. Born in South River, Willie lived in many areas of NJ but always considered himself a lifelong resident of the borough. He graduated from East Brunswick VoTech where he studied general contracting with a concentration in carpentry and masonry. William worked in numerous jobs over the years, most recently having been employed with Shop Rite in Perth Amboy and U-Haul in East Brunswick. His greatest love was playing and watching baseball, especially his beloved Yankees. He also loved playing video games as well as Naruto.

Willie is survived by his loving father William Sr. of South River and his mother Tracie Smith of CO; his brother Alexander of South River; grandmother Carole & husband Tom Malinowski of East Brunswick, grandfather Robert Monaghan & wife Fran Tarr of SC, and great-grandmother Anne Monaghan of TN; his Uncle Alexander & wife Frances of East Brunswick, Aunt Donna & husband Rudy Szilagyi of FL, and Aunt Helena & husband Fr. Nicholas Tkatchow of Syracuse, NY; Aunt Shannon & husband Brian Marciani of Sayreville; and cousins Christopher, Melanie, Michelle, Rudy Jr., Irene, Nina, Anastasia, Kathy, Mary, George, Xenia, Anthony, and Dominic.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 11am at the M.A. Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River followed by burial at Washington Monumental Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Monday from 5pm to 8pm.
