Parlin
Richard E. Fredricks, age 74 of Parlin, passed away Tuesday May 2, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Newark, he had lived in Parlin for many years. Before his retirement, Richard worked as an electrician with the IBEW locals 52 and 164. He was a communicant of St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin and a member of the Old Bridge Elks.
He is predeceased by his wife Debbie, his sisters Virginia Seckman, Eunice Greeley and his brothers Donald and Glenn.
Surviving are his children and their spouses Barbara and Bob Hudak, Nancy Martin, Richard Jr. and Laura, Brian and Jill, Jennifer & David Hupp, Jill Brown, his siblings Audrey Motusesky, Claire Gable, Gail Higgins, Barbara Critchley, Paul, Clifford, his companion Carol Leidy, 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane with a 9:30am mass at St. Bernadette’s RC Church in Parlin with a burial to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery in East Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm.
