Obituary for Francis R Kean

Francis R. Kean passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday June 4, 2017 at Raritan Bay Med Center. Born on July 13,1932 and raised in Brooklyn, NY. A Graduate of St. Bonaventure with a BS in Chemistry, Frank worked for Union Carbide, NL Industries, and retired from IBM, Dayton, NJ.

He also served for the US Army from 1955 - 1962. Predeceased by his parents, Loretta (Sullivan) and John J. Kean, Sisters Laurette and Mary, Brothers Thomas, Fr. John, Cyrus, Edmund, Martin, Justin, and Fr. Cary. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Joan (Rodgers) Kean, his Brother Paul and ten amazing children, Ted, Kerry Ann and Stan (Hisko),Loretta and David (Williams), Margaret (Lantz), Frank Kean, Joanie and Tom (D'Andrea), Gerard and Michelle Kean, John Kean, Stephen Kean and Edmund Kean. Many nieces

and nephews and sixteen loving grandchildren: Kevin, Billy, Sarah Clare, Timothy, Tyler, Jenna Rose, Kevin, Katie, Jarett, John Jr., Julia, Kristen, Anthony, Brian, Matthew, Dennis and great-grand daughter Mia. Frank was a Commentator and taught CCD at St. Thomas the Apostle. Loved by everyone, his infectious smile will never be forgotten. Frank thoroughly enjoyed his children in every way, arts, smarts and athletics. His parting words were always, "Great to see you, God Bless you."

Visitation is on Thursday 4-8 at the Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave, South River NJ 08882 and a Mass of the Christian Burial will follow Friday, 10:15 am at St. Thomas the Apostle, Old Bridge, NJ. Burial will be private.
