Parlin
Michael D. Mathis, age 46 of Parlin, passed away Friday August 25, 2017. Born in New Brunswick, he has lived his life in Parlin. Mike had a love of music and a talent that he loved to share. He was a professional musician and enjoyed teaching music as well. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy.
He is predeceased by his mother Patricia Foligno Mathis.
Surviving are his father William, his daughter Avery, his siblings William, Corrine and Alan Brahamsha, Christopher, Patti, and Brian, his nieces and nephew Elaina, Nicole, Angela, Dana, Ryan and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 8:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin, with a 9am funeral mass at Sacred Heart RC Church in South Amboy. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in South Brunswick.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday from 6pm to 9pm.
