Obituary for James A Haney
James A. Haney, 77 passed away peacefully on November 21st, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born in Plainfield NJ and was a resident of East Brunswick NJ for 50 years, later settling in Monroe Township NJ. James received his Bachelors of Education from Kean University, later furthering his education by receiving his Masters of Education. James was a Teacher for East Brunswick High School for 42 year, retiring in 2003. He was also the adult night school director in East Brunswick for over 20 years. James was very involved in his community and was a member of the Elks Lodge #2370 BPOE, the Knights of Columbus Council #11873, the NJEA and MCEA.
Beloved Husband of the late Caroline M. Haney of 53 years. Loving father of James K. Haney and wife Elaine (East Brunswick NJ), Michael J. Haney and wife Christine (West Long Branch NJ) and Mark R. Haney and Melissa (Brick NJ). Loving grandfather of Justin, Adam, Bridget, Connor, Bryce and Bishop. Dear brother in-law of Martha James (Houston TX) and dear uncle of Edward, Gary and Seth.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday November 28th from 4-7 PM at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Ave., South River NJ 08882. On Wednesday November 29th, family and friends are to gather at the funeral home at 9 AM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM at St. Bartholomew's Church, 470 Ryders Lane, East Brunswick NJ 08816. Followed by Interment at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Princeton University Medical Center, 1 Plainsboro Rd, Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536 in memory of James and Caroline Haney.
