Paul R. Emmons, 86 entered into eternal life on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Reformed Church Home after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Lydia Emmons and his wife of 63 years Doris Emmons, who died on November 4, 2017. Surviving are his sons, Mark and Thomas Emmons, his sister Ruth and her husband Kenneth Kreismer and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Paul was born February 14, 1931 in South Amboy, NJ and resided in Sayreville until moving to Spotswood after super storm Sandy.
He graduated from Sayreville High School in 1948 and enlisted in the US Navy serving proudly aboard the USS Hobson.
Prior to Paul’s retirement he was employed by Du Pont Photo Products. He was former member of the Sayreville Emergency Squad. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching his Yankees and Steelers. Paul was also a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville. Donations may be made in Paul’s name to the Spotswood First Aid Squad or a charity of your choice.
Calling hours at Maliszewski Memorial Home 121, Main St Sayreville, NJ 08872 are Saturday from 9:30am to 10:30am with an 11am funeral service at The First Presbyterian Church of Sayreville. An entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park.
