Obituary for Jane Redford (Lukasonek)

Jane  Redford (Lukasonek)
Jane Redford of the Parlin section of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Born in East Brunswick she had resided in Parlin for the past 49 years. Before her retirement she was employed as a Secretary for the East Brunswick Board of Education for 25 years. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville, was a member of the OLV Columbiettes, the Sayreville Lady Dems, the St Stanislaus Seniors and the Sayreville VFW Post 4699 Ladies Auxiliary. Jane enjoyed scratch off tickets and loved to ask for a bloody mary and a trip to Atlantic City.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert, her daughters and their spouses Shirley Redford of New Port, NC, Terry and Kevin Dunn of Spotswood and June and Scott Lee of Freehold, her grandchildren Abbey Shingleton and her husband Jeffrey, Scott Dunn, Rachel Dunn and her fiancé Chris DeCarlo and Robert Lee, her great granddaughters Haleigha and Taylor Jolene Shingleton.
The family would like to especially thank the Doctors and Nurses in the Respiratory Care Unit as well as the ED staff at Robert Wood Johnson for their excellent care and heartfelt compassion given to Jane.

Funeral services will be held 8:45am Friday from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at New Calvary Cemetery in Parlin.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be Thursday from 2 – 4pm and 7 – 9pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Jane’s name to OLV St Vincent DePaul Society, 42 Main St. Sayreville, NJ 08872 or to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1893, Memphis, TN 38101-9950.
