Obituary for Barbara Rock (Gaylord)
South River
Barbara Gaylord Rock, age 67 of South River, passed away Sunday January 7, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Newark, she had lived in South River for many years. Before her retirement, Barbara was a data clerk for Consumers in Edison.
She is predeceased by her parents John and Sarah Gaylord.
Surviving are her husband of 28 years, Edward, her children Eddie and Laura Rock, Rosanne Janicki and Kurt, Sherry Palazzolo and Vinny, Aaron Paglia and Johnelle, Damon Paglia and Amber Joynes, her grandchildren Vinny, Matt, Damien, Erik, Alexa, Ara, her great-grandchildren Vincenzo and Luca, her siblings Suzanne Crowther, John Gaylord and his wife Karen, her Goddaughter Sally Anne Soricelli, her Godson Thomas Crowther and many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
Calling hours at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave. South River will be Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm.
Services will take place at the funeral home at 8pm on Wednesday evening. A private cremation will follow.
A luncheon to celebrate Barbara's life will be held Thursday at 11:30am at the Ria Mare Restaurant on Whitehead Ave. in South River. The family wishes all to attend.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Barbara’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
