James Batissa, age 77 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. Born in South Amboy he had resided in Sayreville for the past 50 years. Before his retirement 25 years ago James was employed as an Auditor for PSE&G in Newark. He was a US Navy veteran and a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus Council 2061. Jim was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.

He is predeceased by his parents Saverio and Margaret Batissa and his wife Kathleen.
Surviving are his children and their spouses Angela and Walter Trillhaase, Gail and Todd Handwork, his grandchildren Kiersten Reif and her husband Brian, Kelly Petrocelli and her husband John, his sister and her husband Margaret and William Ramsden, as well as his long-time companion Audrey Henderson and her children Lisa Crouch and Tim Henderson.

Funeral services will be held Monday 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin with a 9:30am Memorial Mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick.

Calling hours will be Sunday from 1pm to 4pm at the funeral home.
