Edward M. Zaneski Sr., age 93 of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday February 21, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sayreville, he had lived in FL for over 30 years, before moving back to New Jersey this year. Before his retirement, Ed worked as a maintenance machinist with Hercules in Sayreville and then Okonite Cables in North Brunswick. He was a US Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the VFW Post 4699 in Sayreville. He was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his parents Frank and Stefania Zaneski, his wife Doris, and his siblings Frank Jr., Hedwig, Mary, and Alexander.
Surviving are his son Edward Jr and his wife Diane, his grandsons Edward Paul and Eric, and his sister in-law Elizabeth Zaneski.
Funeral services will be Monday 10:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St. Sayreville with an 11am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka RC Church in Sayreville. Burial will follow at St. Stan’s Cemetery in Sayreville.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Monday 9:30am to 10:30am.
The family respectfully requests that no flowers be ordered for the services. Thank you.
