Obituary for Manuel Santos Estrada

Manuel Santos  Estrada
Sayreville
Manuel Santos Estrada, age 80, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Manila, Philippines, he had resided in Sayreville for the past 43 years. Manuel was a proud graduate of De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines. Before his retirement, Manuel was a chemical engineer for Gibbs & Hill in Manhattan, NY. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville.
He is predeceased by his parents Leonardo and Purificacion Estrada and his granddaughter Gabriella Joy Estrada.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 49 years, Rosario de Perio Estrada, his cherished children Leonard and his wife Kathleen, Patricia Manfredonia and her husband Emil, his beloved grandchildren Thomas, Katelen, Jack, Luke Manuel and Frank, his sister Trinidad Estrada, his brother Leonardo Jr and his wife Nelia, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday 9am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane Parlin with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Victories RC Church in Sayreville. A private cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 5pm to 9pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Manuel’s name to the American Heart Association http://www2.heart.org/goto/LukeManf or the Trisomy 18 Foundation http://www.trisomy18.org which commemorates Manuel’s granddaughter Gabriella Joy.
