Marianna DeStefano, age 96, formerly of Sayreville, passed away Wednesday May 23, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she had resided in Sayreville for many years, before moving to Monroe.
Before her retirement, Marianna had worked as a clerk for Fedders Corp in Edison. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s RC Church in South Amboy.
She is predeceased by her husband Frank in 1975, her son Gary in 2009, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Surviving are her children Russ DeStefano and his wife Arlene, Deborah Gialanella and her husband Michael, Marlene Oskierko and her husband Benjamin, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and her brothers Vinny and Benny Vigorito.
Funeral services will be Wednesday 9:00am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home 15 Cherry Lane with a 9:30am funeral mass to follow at St. Mary’s RC Church in South Amboy. Entombment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Middle Village, NY.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9.
