Stjepan Bisaha, age 86, of Sayreville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge with his loving family at his side. Born in Bucje, Croatia as the youngest of 7 siblings, he immigrated to Perth Amboy with his wife, Katherine and has since lived in Sayreville for over 40 years. Having served in the Yugoslavian Armed Forces, Mr. Bisaha served as a blacksmith apprentice and later a farmer. He then worked as a maintenance professional with Gerber Sanitary Pottery in Woodbridge for many years. Stjepan’s true joy in life was taking care of his family and being with those who he loved dearly. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Stjepan is predeceased by his parents Ivan & Ana Bisaha. Surviving is his beloved wife of 62 years Katherine Bisaha (Pipek) of Sayreville; his loving children and their spouses John & Nathalie Bisaha of Sayreville, Rose & James Rapach of Sayreville, and Michael Bisaha & Jerilyn Losowy of SC; his 8 adoring grandchildren Stephan, Stephanie, James (Heather), Christina, Kevin (Alexa), Jonathan, Katie, and Melanie; his 4 beautiful great-grandchildren India, Jack, Abigail, and Nathaniel; and his nieces Eve, Rose, and nephew Zeljko.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8:45am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, NJ with a 9:30am mass at Our Lady of Victories RC Church. Calling hours at the funeral home will take place on Monday from 2pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stjepan’s name to the Sayreville Emergency Squad, PO Box 9 Sayreville, NJ 08872.
