Obituary for NIck S Muzyka
South River
Nick S. Muzyka age 75 of South River, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 25, 2015 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Kiev, Ukraine he has resided in South River since 1954. Before his retirement he was employed by Triangle Cable in New Brunswick as a machine operator for 25 years and after that for S & W Auto in South River and Sunshine Biscuit in Sayreville. Nick was a member of the South River Boat Club.
He is predeceased by his daughter Elizabeth “Liz” Muzyka, his great granddaughter Emma Novak, his parents Jakov & Maria Muzyka and his siblings Victor, Angalena and Elizabeth. Surviving are his wife Nancy Alexander Muzyka, his daughters and their husbands Helen & Peter Swecanski Jr. and Marika & Matthew Magaw all of South River, his grandchildren Mark & Steven Swecanski, Michele Novak and her husband Joe and Jessica Magaw, his great grandson Tyler Novak and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11am at the Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Avenue South River with burial to follow at Saints Peter & Paul Cemetery, South River.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday from 6pm to 9pm.
