Ann M. Samuel age 94 of Sayreville passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at her home with her loving and devoted family at her side. Born in Sayreville, Ann was a lifelong resident of Sayreville. Ann was also a lifelong communicant of Saint Stanislaus Kostka Roman Catholic Church in Sayreville where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of the Sayreville St Stan’s Senior Club, Sayreville Senior Citizens Tuesday Club, Sayreville Historical Society, Union of Polish Women Group 81 and Sayreville Columbiette’s of council 2061.

Ann was very creative. The many dresses and capes for the Infant of Prague statue at Saint Stanislaus Kostka Church and elsewhere were sewed by Ann. Her cake baking and decorating were admired and enjoyed by many.

Ann is predeceased by her husband Walter B. Samuel, her daughter in law and grandson Alicia and Marc Samuel, her parents Stanley and Helen Lapa Czernikowski, her brothers Edwin, Stanley and John Czernikowski and her sister Theresa Kronowski Lajewski.

Surviving are her children and their spouses Carol and Ron Kadi of Flemington, Thomas Samuel, David and Debra Samuel, Michael and Maura Samuel all of Sayreville; her grandchildren Mark Kadi and his wife Amanda of Sioux Falls, SD, Douglas Samuel of Manhattan, Matthew Samuel, Andrew Samuel and Taylor Dougherty of Sayreville; her great grandchildren Mia Ann Kadi and Samuel W. Kadi; her sisters Bernadine Puchalski, Helen Connors, Joan French; her many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main Street Sayreville followed by a 9:30am mass at Saint Stanislaus Kostka R. C. Church in Sayreville with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Sayreville.

Calling hours at the funeral home will be held Friday from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations in Ann’s memory be made to Saint Stanislaus Kostka School Endowment Fund 225 Mac Arthur Avenue Sayreville, N.J. 08872. Members of Saint Stanislaus Rosary Society, Sayreville St Stan’s Seniors, Sayreville Senior Citizens Tuesday Club and Columbiette’s will hold services on Friday at times to be announced.
