Obituary for Nikolas Kosciuk

South River
Nikolas Kosciuk, age 87, passed away Wednesday September 30, 2015 at Princeton Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Belarus, he had lived in South River for many years. Before his retirement, Nick worked as a proud assembly line worker with Ford Motor Company in Edison for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Euphrosynia Church in South River and was a man of devout faith. Nick owned more suits than most business men and took pride in how he looked. He loved dressing for church every Sunday. He loved to fish and pick mushrooms and he walked five miles every day around town. He loved music and singing and his house was always filled with the sounds of both. He had a corny sense of humor, which his two daughters proudly inherited. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family.
He is predeceased by his parents Sebastian and Helen and his brother Misha.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years, Rena nee Derkacz, his daughters Irene Newman and her husband Brian of Titusville, Lilly Doremus and her husband Doug of Bernardsville, his cherished grandchildren Alexandra and John, his sisters Lidia Zabkovski, Raja Kalada, Sofie Bychowski and his brother Serge Kosciuk.
