Matawan
Steven Behr, age 61 of Matawan, passed away at his home. Born in Kearney, he had lived in Sayreville, before moving to Matawan several years ago. Steven is a U.S. Veteran and served in the United State Air Force for four years. He then became an electrical engineer, working as a Production Manager at Reliabotics in New Brunswick for several years.
Surviving are his loving wife, the former Kathleen Fig, his three children Christopher, Lindsey, and Daniel, his parents Richard and Beverly, his brothers and sisters in law Thomas and Grace, Peter and Joanne, James and Jill and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.
Above being a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, he loved to be on the water; boating, fishing, and relaxing. Steven enjoyed working around his home, tending to his plants and flowers, and spending time with his family and dog, Kera.
Funeral services will be Thursday 9:30am from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home with a 10:30am funeral mass to follow at St. Clement’s RC Church in Matawan. A private cremation will follow.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm.
